Pupil Premium Strategy

What is a Pupil Premium Strategy?

Pupil Premium is additional funding provided to help improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools across England. Research shows that children from disadvantaged backgrounds can face extra challenges in reaching their full potential at school and, on average, do not achieve as highly as other pupils.

At St James CE Primary School, our main priority is to ensure that all children can access every aspect of the school’s provision, enabling them to achieve the highest possible standards and make strong progress from their individual starting points.

If you would like further information, please refer to the Department for Education guidance, which provides an overview of Pupil Premium for school staff, parents, and anyone interested in the funding: Pupil Premium Overview Information. Alternatively, you can contact any member of the Senior Leadership Team, who all play a key role in this area of school life, via [email protected] or through the school office.
