Journeying Together Day
Journeying Together Day is a whole‑school family event held every September.
All children from Year 1 to Year 6 take part in mixed‑age groups, enjoying games, activities, crafts and much more as they explore different stories from the Bible. Each year we focus on a new theme to deepen our spiritual understanding and sense of belonging.
In our first Journeying Together Day, we explored how the aspects of our school vision were lived out by Jesus.
In the second year, we considered how we could all be courageous advocates and make a positive difference.
This year, we learned what Jesus taught about listening to his words and the importance of prayer, justice and other key values.
These themes continue throughout the year, helping us grow in spiritual awareness and respond to what we are learning. The day is also a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our community. Children spend time with peers from other year groups, enjoy shared experiences, and build relationships with staff they may not usually work with. A strong sense of family is nurtured as we eat lunch together, help one another, and have fun learning and growing.
We are blessed each year by a fantastic team of volunteers who love being part of our school family for the day. We are already looking forward to exploring the Psalms — the Bible’s songbook — in September 2027.
