Pebbles and Pearls Nursery
'Pebbles and Pearls' is our school Nursery provision, where children are encouraged to begin a lifelong love of learning through play, creativity, secure relationships and rich, stimulating experiences.
Children can start 'Pebbles' from two years old and then become 'Pearls' when they turn three years old.
The open plan Nursery provision supports both 2-3 and 3-4 year olds.
Our Nursery space opened in September 2026 after a full refurbishment project - it is a truly beautiful space.
We pride ourselves on creating a high-quality environment with comfortable, interesting, 'home from home' areas as we believe this is crucial in ensuring our children feel happy, confident and safe.
We know that children develop quickly in the early years and in order for this development to take place it is vitally important to make our children feel safe and secure. Our Nursery is teacher led and our fully qualified and carefully selected staff are friendly, approachable and caring. All staff our are supervised by SLT and the EYFS Champion. Staff are DBS checked; trained in safeguarding, and have the most up-to-date training on how best to support and care for our youngest children. Our Nursery curriculum is inspired by the Montessori teaching method and the Curiosity Approach.
Pebbles

'Pebbles' are the children who join us from 2 years old. During this important stage, children develop and change so quickly that it is important that all their needs and interests are understood, allowing each child to thrive and flourish. We know how much children love to explore the world around them, and in our Nursery setting, we ensure that we can facilitate this by creating a rich environment with resources and experiences which utilise their senses, interests and curiosity. There are resources at low level, so at an early age children are free to make their own choices and access all the resources themselves.
If you are eligible for 15 hours' free childcare for your 2-year-old, and you would like your child to join our Nursery setting, please look out for your child's 2-year-old passport that you will receive in the post or via email.
Once you have received the passport, please bring it along with your child's birth certificate and proof of address (e.g. utility bill) to the school office, and we will be able to help you complete the relevant paperwork to apply for a place for your child.
If you haven't received a passport in the post or via email but feel you meet the criteria, please check by visiting www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/.
Pearls

'Pearls' are the children who join us from 3+. The aim of the learning experience for our PearlsĀ is to support and prepare your child in the year before they start school. We do this by making this experience full of fun, wonder and enjoyment. We want our children to be motivated and excited to learn in order to develop a range of knowledge, skills and independence that provides the right foundation for future progress through school and life.
All 3 and 4-year-olds are currently entitled to up to 30 hours of Government-funded nursery education per week. Hours of attendance can be tailored to individual needs. Please call the School Office for further details.
Come and visit us!
We understand that a lot of thought and consideration goes into choosing your child's nursery, and we understand it can beĀ emotional for parents. Therefore, we would always invite you to come and have a look around before you make your decision! If you feel our nursery is the right choice for you and your child, then we will be happy to complete a registration form with you. We can also support you in applying for funding if you are eligible. We then provide a minimum of 3 one hour settling in sessions before your child starts with us to make sure your child is settled before leaping in to daily sessions. If your child needs more settling in sessions prior to starting, we will accommodate until your child is settled.
