Young Carers
We are proud to have been awarded the prestigious 'Young Carers in School' Award for the work we do in supporting our young carers.
A Young Carer is someone under the age of 18 who looks after a family member or friend who has a physical or mental health condition, or addiction. They may also look after brothers, sisters or elderly relatives too. There are probably more young carers out there than we think! They take on extra responsilbilities, like dressing the person they look after, cooking, cleaning, shopping, collecting prescriptions. It's a lot to take on as a child. If you think your child might be a Young Carer, we are here to help. We can access support for your family - just get in touch!
