Looking for a fun, safe and nurturing start or finish to your child's school day? Seashells is our popular wraparound childcare provision, designed to give children an exciting place to learn, play and make memories with friends before and after school.
Led by familiar faces from the St James team, Seashells feels like an extension of the school day – full of laughter, creativity and opportunities for children to thrive.

Give your child a positive start to the day with our popular morning wraparound childcare provision.
Open daily: 7:45am – 8:50am
Cost: £5.00 per child, per day
Children can enjoy breakfast, socialise with friends and take part in a variety of fun activities before heading into class ready to learn.

We are incredibly proud that St James has been selected as part of the Government's "Best Start" Breakfast Club Programme, making it possible for even more children to enjoy a nutritious breakfast and a great start to the school day.
Introducing our FREE Seashells Bistro!
Open daily: 8.20am – 8:50am
All children from Reception to Y6 are welcome.
What's staying the same?
✅ Our wonderful kitchen team will serve a delicious breakfasts each morning.
✅ Children will still be welcomed by the staff they know and love.
✅ There will still be plenty of fun games, activities and opportunities to socialise before school.
Although the provision is free, we ask families to book their place via the School Money App so that we can ensure we have the right number of staff and breakfasts available each day.

When the school day ends, the fun continues!
Our after-school club wraparound provision offers a warm, welcoming environment where children can relax, enjoy activities with friends and take part in exciting experiences until collection time.
Standard Session
🕒 3:20pm – 5:30pm
💷 £7.00 per child
Includes:
- A drink
- Fruit
- A healthy snack
Extended Session
🕕 3:20pm – 6:00pm
💷 £8.00 per child
Perfect for families who need a little extra flexibility at the end of the day.

At Seashells, we are committed to providing affordable, high-quality childcare that offers excellent value for money. We operate a fair and open admissions system and actively support eligible families in accessing available childcare funding and support schemes.
With places available for up to 32 children per session, we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
